The Civil War (1861-1865): A History Podcast
By Richard Youngdahl

I listen to a lot of History related podcasts (I found this one when doing one of my regular ‘History’ searches on itunes) and ‘The Civil WarDirect link to podcast’ is one of the best gems I’ve ever found. I’d rank it up there with ‘History of Rome’! High praise indeed.
I considered myself reasonable knowledgeable about the American Civil War, being a wargamer with Union and Confederate army’s, but am discovering just how much I was missing from listening to TCW. Rich and Tracy are excellent hosts who present the history in a lively, easily digestible way.
Starting well before the war itself starts they cover the build up to the war including the Mexican War in great detail. I listen to each new episode the moment it downloads to my iphone.
I particularly enjoy the few unscripted parts of the show were Rich and Tracy’s real personality comes thru (how about a segment were you both just ‘chat’ about your thoughts of the episode?).

If you have ANY interest in the Civil War you MUST listen to this podcast!
